Self Commitment Ceremony Boho Bride } Pink Blush Photography

 “Love yourself first and everything else falls in line. You really have to love yourself first to get anything done in this world.”- Lucille Ball

This Bride came to us looking for a unique reason to put on a white dress and do a bridal shoot. Miss S wanted to do a self commitment ceremony. The purpose was to promise to herself that she would love and honour her needs from now on. After ending a relationship with the wrong guy she decided she needed to do something to celebrate her new found love. Here is what she had to say about her experience.

“Isn’t it funny we are all born loving ourselves and it is only through time and life experiences that our self-love slowly erodes away leaving us wondering, am I loveable? Many people including myself have looked outside our own beings for confirmation that we are in fact lovable. Constantly searching, feeling alone and unloved. Forgetting that what we are looking for is right inside of us all along.  Some people get so lost for so long that they forget what it is like to be themselves, find yourself again. Find your passion, follow your dreams, create a life filled with self-love. Don’t let time wash away the very thing you were born with and the one thing that we all deserve.

 Always choose to love yourself first, self-love is not selfish. You cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself first. You need to love yourself just as much if not more, than your desire for love from another. To find true peace you must first be at peace with yourself. To truly enjoy who you are. Love yourself unconditionally. Once this self-love is mastered you will be protected from everything that makes you feel like you are not enough. This gift of recognizing your self-worth and loving yourself unconditionally will set you free and you will never feel lonely, even if you are alone.

Be in love with your reflection, be in love with the person in the mirror, the one who has been through so much and is still here standing tall. Choose love, because love is always stronger than fear.

 Today I committed to loving myself unconditionally.

I promise to always see the light in myself when I am surrounded by darkness.

I promise to love myself when I feel unlovable.

I promise to see the best in myself when I feel the worst.

Milk Bath - Pink Blush Boudoir Studio Edmonton

I’m having so much fun playing in our tub these days. So much so I decided we needed a package just for our tub set. There is endless creativity that we can explore together, everything from basic bubbles and milk bath to bright colors with flowers or in this case a few pieces of fern green. The spring is normally a slower time of year for us but it means more time and energy for creative shoots.. How perfect, that in the season of rebirth I get to dive deeper into my creativity and create amazing new concepts for my clients. I’m truly blessed to have the ability to do what makes my soul happy.

This stunning bath set was shot with the beautiful @ohkay_tea We recently met while she was at my studio with another photographer friend of mine and I just had to get her into the studio. Miss N } Boudoir Pick Me Up

Flashback to this shoot with Miss N! This babe was looking for a little pick me up and her life, and boy was she in for a treat! She absolutely rocked her shoot, and had some super cute outfit ideas, including her sweater with leg warmer look. She made the leg warmers herself! So talented.

Self Love Reminder } Miss V } Client Review

Flashback to this fun shoot with Miss V in January! Here are a few words from her about her experience with us:

Initially I had thought that I wanted to book a shoot as a gift for my boyfriend, but ultimately it was something I needed for myself. I struggled with body image after having being diagnosed with a chronic medical condition and needed a reminder that despite all the challenges, I am a strong and beautiful women. Calie was a beyond amazing at making me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire shoot - from guiding me through several poses to encouraging smile and laughter in photos.
